Greetings from General Co-Chairs

On behalf of the Committee of IETICT, it is my great pleasure to welcome all the participants come to Beijing to attend this International Conference on Information and Communications Technologies which will be held on 27th -29th, April, 2013.

IET was founded 140 years ago, which is one of thenewest worldwide leading professional societies for the fields of engineering and technology community. Through sharing and advancing the new technologies and knowledge,IET and its members aims to enhance the stanard of people's lives around the world. In order to strengthen the academic exchanges worldwide, especially the academic exchange of EU-China, this conference is co-located and run in conjunction with China-Ireland International Conference on Information and Communications Technologies ( CIICT ) in 2013, with many well-known universities and academic institutions providing technical support.

The purpose of IETICT 2013 is to provide an international academic platform for scholars in fields of information communications technologies to exchange ideas and latest research results. The conference not only includes the technical sessions, but also the invited sessions and the keynote addresses. The technical program consisted of technical symposia, tutorials, workshops and business forums. Additionally, industry-led exhibitions for information and communications and services will be held. We sincerely hope that you would find this conference is attractive and fascinating.

Beijing has honoured as the capital of China over800 years. The city has many places of historic interest and scenic beauty, including the Forbidden City - the largest and best-preserved ancient architectural complex in the world; the Temple of Heaven - where Ming and Qing emperors performed solemn rituals for bountiful harvests; the Summer Palace - the emperors' magnificent garden retreat; the Ming Tombs - the stately and majestic mausoleums of 13 Ming Dynasty emperors; and the world-renowned and genuinely inspiring Badaling section of the Great Wall. Large-scale construction has brought great changes to Beijing since the foundation of the People's Republic of China in 1949. The city is also renowned for its art treasures and universities have long made it a centre of culture and art in China. I hope you will enjoy your splendid time in Beijing.
