Can Schools Afford This Technology?

I have tried to give some feeling for the dramatic developments which are now taking place in electronic publishing technology; but you may still be in doubt as to whether it is feasible for schools to afford this technology and, more to the point, whether they will actually see a sufficient, tangible, return for it. These are reasonable concerns, and I shall try to briefly assess them here.
