Introduction to Project

Computer Tomography (CT) is a method of producing a 3 dimensional image of the internal structure of a solid object.  For example viewing the internal organs of the human body.

CT Colonography is a technique which produces an image of the colon to detect polyps which can cause cancer.

CT Colonography has recently emerged as a new technique.

The concept of CT Colonography was first introduced in 1994

It is been developed as it is less invasive than the conventional Colonoscopy.  It can completely evaluate the entire colon whereas the Colonoscopy can fail to see everything due to an obstruction.
