HEAT Project Description

The main goal of Hybrid Extended reAliTy (HEAT) project is to revolutionize how XR (Extended Reality) is experienced by integrating real captured omnidirectional and navigable hyper-realistic 3D spaces with immersive interactions.

HEAT aims to tackle key challenges in XR by:

1) Capturing and presenting realistic 3D holograms of remote users in real-time environments.

2) Ensuring realistic 3D capture and presentation of the in-presence environment to remote users.

3) Enabling immersive interactions, including social cues, emotions, and real-time feedback exchange.

By deploying state-of-the-art XR technology, HEAT seeks to enhance real-time performance scenarios, virtual training, and blended learning environments.
