Bio:
Professor with the School of Electronic Engineering and co-Director of the Performance Engineering Laboratory at Dublin City University, Ireland. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Dublin City University, Ireland for research in quality-oriented adaptive multimedia streaming over wired networks in 2004. He was awarded the B.Eng. and M.Sc. degrees in Software Engineering from the Computer Science Department, "Politehnica" University of Timisoara, Romania in 1996 and 1997, respectively. Prof. Muntean's research interests include quality and performance-related issues of adaptive multimedia streaming, performance of content delivery over wired and wireless networks and with various devices, and energy-aware networking. Prof. Muntean is Associate Editor with the IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, Multimedia Communications Area Editor with the IEEE Communications Survey and Tutorials and reviewer for important international journals, conferences and funding agencies. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and IEEE Broadcast Technology Society.

Received her PhD for research on verification and control of real-time discrete event dynamical systems from University of California, Berkeley in 1993. She is an Associate Professor with the School of Electronic Engineering, DCU and co-Director of the DCU Performance Engineering Laboratory. Her research interests are in the area of performance of web-based systems, performance of large-scale software systems, and performance of networks.

Bio:
Anderson Simiscuka is a postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Gabriel-Miro Muntean, with the Performance Engineering Laboratory, School of Electronic Engineering, Dublin City University. He received the B.Sc. degree in Information Systems in 2014 from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, São Paulo, Brazil anda Ph.D degree from Dublin city University in 2022. He has worked in several telecom and software development projects in companies such as Wittel (2010-2013), DCU/Ericsson (E-Stream Project, 2014), Arkadin (2014) and IBM (2015). His research is mainly focused on networked communications performance.

Abid Yaqoob is a postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Gabriel-Miro Muntean, with the Performance Engineering Laboratory, School of Electronic Engineering, Dublin City University, Ireland. He received a B.Sc. degree in computer systems engineering from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan, in 2014, and a M.Sc. degree in network and information security from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China, in 2018. In 2022, he completed his Ph.D. degree with the Performance Engineering Laboratory and the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, School of Electronic Engineering, Dublin City University, Ireland. His research interests include mobile wireless communication, priority-aware differentiated video streaming, 5G networking slicing, multipath transmission, as well as immersive multimedia processing and delivery solutions. Abid is a member of IEEE.

Raza Abidi is a postdoctoral researcher with the Performance Engineering Laboratory, School of Electronic Engineering, Dublin City University, Ireland under the supervision of Prof. Gabriel-Miro Muntean and Prof. David Henshall. He is the holder of an EU Marie Curie Fellowship. Dr. Raza's current research interests include Digital Health, Clinical Diagnosis, Prognosis, and Monitoring of Treatment Response in Epilepsy using Machine Learning and AI techniques.

Devanshu Anand received the B.Eng. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bangalore, India in 2020. He was a Research Intern at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institue of Technology, Kanpur. He is currently pursuing a PhD degree with the School of Electronics Engineering, Dublin City University, Dublin, Ireland under the supervision of Prof. Gabriel-Miro Muntean and Dr. Mohammed Togou. His research interests include Machine Learning solutions for rich media delivery in heterogeneous networks, resource allocation, 5G, machine learning. Yashar Farzaneh is a Ph.D. student, supervised by Dr. Gabriel-Miro Muntean at Dublin City University's Performance Engineering Laboratory in Ireland. Holding a B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Beheshti University, Iran, achieved in 2014, Yashar has extensive experience in wireless network planning, optimization, investigation, and troubleshooting, including GSM, WCDMA, LTE, 5G, and TCP/IP networks. His current research endeavors focus on the area of Multi-Criteria Edge Computing-based High Bitrate Data Management. By combining Multi-Object Optimization with Machine Learning and Deep Learning tools and algorithms, this leads to innovative advancements in the field.

Mohammad Fardad is a Ph.D. student with over seven years of working experience in various Telecom companies. His professional journey encompasses a diverse array of projects, spanning from signal processing to RAN performance engineering. Currently, he is under the supervision of Dr. Irina Tal and Prof. Gabriel-Miro Muntean at the Performance Engineering Laboratory, with the School of Computing at Dublin City University, Ireland. Mr. Fardad's current research interests revolve around blockchain, mobile edge computing, and deep reinforcement learning, with a specific focus on vehicular networks. Elham Mohammadzadeh Mianji is a Ph.D. student deeply enthusiastic about vehicular networks with several years of valuable industry experience in well-known telecommunications companies, including Huawei. Currently, she works under the supervision of Dr. Irina Tal and Prof. Gabriel-Miro Muntean at the Performance Engineering Laboratory, with the School of Computing at Dublin City University, Ireland. Mrs. Mianji's current research interests cover blockchain, reinforcement learning, security, privacy, and trust management, with a specific focus on vehicular networks. She received a B.Eng. degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Engineering from Shahab Danesh University, Iran, in 2012, and a M.Eng. degree in Information Technology (IT) Engineering - Computer Networks from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT), Iran, in 2018. Fazal E Subhan is a Ph.D. student with the Performance Engineering Laboratory, School of Electronic Engineering, Dublin City University, Ireland under the supervision of Prof. Gabriel-Miro Muntean and Dr. Cristina Muntean. He was awarded the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan in 2015 and 2019, respectively. Mr Fazal's current research interests include AI-based network slicing techniques to improve the delivery of rich multimedia content such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and extended reality. He is a student member of IEEE.
